A powdered thickener according to the present invention contains: a compound represented by formula (1) (where, R's are the same or different, and each represents a branched saturated aliphatic hydrocarbon group having 5-22 carbon atoms, or alinear unsaturated aliphatic hydrocarbon group having 5-22 carbon atoms)； and an oil agent having a melting point of 30 DEG C or more.
