An assembly 1 is constructed from a series of components 10, 10', 10" and 10'" component which may be nested together in a first configuration in which some or all of them are stacked one on top of the other or arranged in a second configuration in which they lie substantially flush. The components may thus be stored in the second configuration so as to make effective use of storage space. The assembly may form a box, bowl, tray, hat, plant pot, stand or boat hull.
