PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high-frequency power supply that improves the power efficiency and a magnetic resonance imaging apparatus using such a high-frequency power supply.SOLUTION: A high-frequency power supply 1 amplifies an input signal including an application timing of a high-frequency magnetic field and waveform information, and supplies the amplified input signal to a high-frequency coil, comprising an amplifier 1d and a control unit. The amplifier 1d amplifies the input signal and outputs an amplified signal. The control unit varies power supply voltage used by the amplifier 1d for the amplification of the input signal, in accordance with the magnitude of the input signal.
