The present invention relates to a pharmaceutical composition for promoting differentiation of cardiomyocytes derived from embryonic stem cells containing echinochrome A as an active ingredient. More specifically, echinochrome A extracted from echinoderm such as sea urchins does not cause cytotoxicity, and also effectively induces differentiation into cardiomyocytes in mouse embryonic stem cells.
