PURPOSE: A toothbrush is provided to remove food residues between teeth by horizontally moving the head part of a toothbrush with bristles. CONSTITUTION: A toothbrush includes a power part(110) and an operating part(120). The power part includes a driving gear and a driven gear. The driving gear is combined with a motor which provides torque to the inside of a body part. The driven gear rotates by being engaged with the driving gear. The operating part includes a transferring member which receives the torque of the driven gear. The transferring member is combined with a guide in the body part and vertically moves a head which is integrated with the transferring member. A plurality of transferring gears is arranged at one side of the transferring member to be engaged with the driven gear in order to convert the rotational movement into the linear movement of the driven gear.본 발명은 칫솔에 관한 것으로, 이와 이사이에 낀 이물질을 제거하기 위하여 치아를 아래, 위로 이동하면서 닦을 수 있는 칫솔을 제공하기 위해, 몸체 상단에는 칫솔모를 식모시킨 헤드가 자동으로 왕복 운동하는 칫솔에 있어서, 상기 몸체 내부에는 회전력을 제공하는 모터에 구동기어가 결합되어 있고 상기 구동기어에 치합되어 회전하는 종동기어를 포함하는 동력부와, 상기 종동기어의 회전력을 전달받는 이송부재가 마련되되, 상기 이송부재는 몸체 내부에 마련된 가이드에 슬라이드이동이 가능하게 결합되어 이송부재에 일체로 연결된 헤드가 상하로 왕복이동 할 수 있도록 한 동작부를 포함하는 칫솔이다. 상기와 같은 구성으로 인해 치아를 닦을 때 치과전문의가 권장하는 올바른 양치방법인 위, 아래로 왕복운동 하여 치아를 닦을 수 있게 함으로 더욱 효과적으로 플라그(치태)와 치석을 제거할 수 있다.
