PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a suction system for sucking sputum without forcing huge labor to a caregiver and without damaging a mucous membrane inside the trachea of a patient, and reducing the risk of causing complication such as pneumonia by recovering saliva which flows into the trachea.
SOLUTION: The suction system 1 sucks the saliva and the sputum sucked by a suction device 100, and includes: a first continuous suction line 20 connected to a tracheal cannula 50 indwelt inside the trachea, for continuously sucking the sputum generated inside the trachea a second continuous suction line 30 connected to the tracheal cannula 50 indwelt inside the trachea, for continuously sucking the saliva which flows into the trachea from the oral cavity and an occasional suction line 10 for sucking the saliva inside the oral cavity or the sputum accumulated inside the trachea as needed.
