In this indwelling needle assembly 10, a safety mechanism section 22 is provided with an outer needle hub engaging section 54 and an engaging section-facing wall 55 which are to be engaged with an outer needle hub 26, relative rotation of the outer needle hub engaging section 54 and the engaging section-facing wall 55 is restricted, and either the outer needle hub engaging section 54 or the engaging section-facing wall 55 is displaced integrally with pressing sections 58, 60.
