PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inspection method for hardening of a deposit capable of accurately detecting the hardening of the deposit, and to provide a method for manufacturing an absorber that uses the inspection method.
SOLUTION: The deposit of fibers and/or particles is introduced into the gap between a pair of rolls, to be pressurized and the displacement of the rolls at a predetermined value or above, generated during the pressurization of the deposit is detected to inspect whether the deposit is hardened. One of a pair of the rolls is, preferably, a displacing roll 15A supported in a displaceable manner, and the other is, preferably, a fixed roll 15B supported in a non-displaceable manner. For the displacement of the displacing roll 15A, for example, the displacement of the rotary shaft of the displacing roll 15A is measured preferably by a displacement meter 22 via a slider 16A.
