PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a substrate for a patch which maintains a predetermined thickness or more while having a low basis weight and has excellent followability to the skin and in which the omission of an agent is prevented.SOLUTION: The substrate for a patch is a weft knitted fabric having a basis weight of 100 g/m2 or less and a thickness of 0.55 mm or more, and has a 50% stretch stress in a lateral direction is 2.5-9.0 N/50 mm and a permeability of 200 cc/cm2/sec. or less.
