Disclosed herein are methods and compositions for rendering medical devices and other surfaces biofilm resistant by the use of a coating composition comprising a combination of one or more antimicrobial agent, one or more anti-inflammatory agent, optionally a releasing agent, optionally decandediol, and a lubncious matrix system comprising a biomedical polymer.
