PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a needle-like body, using an inexpensive disposable casting mold, and a sanitary and inexpensive needle-like body.SOLUTION: A method for manufacturing a needle-like body including projection parts on at least one surface of a substrate includes: a step of preparing a needle-like body forming liquid containing a needle-like body material； a step of filling the needle-like body forming liquid containing the needle-like body material in a casting mold； a step of drying the needle-like body forming liquid containing the needle-like body material in a state of being filled in the casting mold followed by solidifying the needle-like body material； and a step of separating the solidified needle-like body material from the casting mold to bring to the needle-like body. In the method for manufacturing the needle-like body, the casting mold contains an ethylene acetate copolymer resin, and has an inversion uneven pattern of the needle-like body shape.
