PURPOSE: A method for controlling plant shape using an Oriza sativa-derived gene is provided to transform the shape. CONSTITUTION: A method for controlling plant shape comprises a step of controlling intracellular expression level of a polypeptide having an amino acid sequence of sequence number 1. The controlling of intracellular expression level is performed by increasing or decreasing the expression of a polynucleotide encoding the polypeptide. The polynucleotide has a base sequence of sequence number 2. The polypeptide having an amino acid sequence of sequence number 1 is isolated from a meristem of Oriza sativa.벼 고분열 돌연변이체에서 선발되어 분리한 폴리펩티드인 OSTCP11의 세포내 수준을 조절하여 식물의 형태를 조절하는 방법으로서, 서열번호1로 표시되는 폴리펩티드인 OSTCP11를 암호화하는 폴리뉴클레오티드의 발현 조절을 통하여 식물의 형태를 변화시키는 방법에 관한 것이다. 본 발명의 방법은 식물의 형태, 특히 잎 등 지상부 여러기관의 형태를 변형시키는 효과를 가지므로, 식물의 형태를 변화시킨 이형식물의 제조에 이용가능하다.
