PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plier capable of surely holding and cutting a fishing line or other thin linear bodies by a cutter.SOLUTION: The plier 10 includes a pair of handles 11 and 12. The handles 11 and 12 include bosses 19 and 20, and flanges 15 and 16 having cutters 17 and 18 are provided in the bosses. The bosses 19 and 20 face each other, and a recessed groove 21 is formed in a part of the boss 19. The recessed groove 21 includes a recessed line extending along the outer circumferential edge of the boss 19.
