The present invention relates to an apparatus and a method for detecting biometric signals of a driver which can improve the accuracy and reliability of biometric signal detection, and increase the possibility of detecting the biometric signals when the driver is driving and the possible detectable time, by arranging a plurality of multi-channel sensor devices in which the driver and a vehicle are in contact with each other in close proximity to the driver in the vehicle in order to measure the biometric signals, and transmitting the signals detected from each of the multi-channel sensor devices to a control unit by using a wireless communication technology to detect and process the biometric signals.
