An apparatus for treating sleep apnea according to the present invention comprises: an auscultating unit obtaining a sound signal from the chest of a user； a sleep apnea determining unit comparing changes in the sound signal obtained from the auscultating unit to determine whether or not the sound signal gets out of the range of the predetermined reference sound signal value； an electrically stimulating unit electrically connected to the sleep apnea determining unit and applying electric stimulation to the chine muscle to induce muscular contraction in the chine muscle； and a power supply unit supplying power to the electric stimulating unit. The present invention induces muscular contraction and thus opens the airway, by the sleep apnea determining unit that compares the changes in the sound signal obtained from the auscultating unit, and the electrically stimulating unit that applies electric stimulation to the chine muscle when the breathing of a subject is determined to be stopped through the signal from the sleep apnea determining unit.본 발명에 따른 무호흡치료장치는 사용자의 흉부의 음향 신호를 획득하는 청진부； 상기 청진부로부터 획득된 상기 음향 신호의 변화를 비교하여 기 설정된 기준 음향 신호값 범위를 벗어나는지 여부를 판별하는 무호흡판별부； 상기 무호흡판별부에 전기적으로 연결되며, 턱밑 근육에 경피 전기 자극을 가하여 상기 턱밑 근육의 근 수축을 유도하는 전기자극부； 및 상기 전기자극부에 전력을 공급하는 전원공급부；를 포함한다.본 발명은 인체의 흉부에서 발생하는 음향을 획득하여 그 변화를 판별하는 무호흡판별부, 상기 무호흡판별부로부터의 신호에 따라 대상자의 호흡이 멈추었다고 판단될 경우 턱밑 표피를 자극하여 턱밑 근육에 전기적인 자극을 수행하는 전기자극부를 통해 근수축을 유발하고 이로 인해 기도개방을 가능하게 한다.
