PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an effective generation amount of minus ions corresponding to the number of discharge electrodes by using a plurality of discharge electrodes.SOLUTION: A minus ion generation device comprises: a device body including a ventilation passage 5; needle-like discharge electrodes 14 which are provided in the ventilation passage of the device body; ventilation means which makes air flow to the ventilation passage of the device body; high voltage generation means which applies a high voltage for discharge to the discharge electrodes; and ground electrodes 15 which are provided correspondingly to the discharge electrodes in the ventilation passage. The discharge electrodes are formed from a plurality of needle-like electrodes and provided in parallel while keeping a predetermined interval in a width direction of the ventilation passage in such a manner that the ground electrodes are correspondent to electrode tips of the plurality of needle-like electrodes in an orthogonal direction. A partition plate 20 is provided mutually between the plurality of needle-like electrodes in such a manner that changes in field strengths are prevented from exerting influences upon each other.
