PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a protein able to induce larval settlement of Balanus amphitrite in a wide range, an attractant for larvae of Balanus amphitrite using the protein, and a method for attracting the larvae of Balanus amphitrite.SOLUTION: The protein is obtained from an extract of grown Balanus amphitrite and has an amino acid sequence comprising a specific sequence on the N terminal side and 32 kDa molecular weight.
