PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a substance which has high activity of eliminating NO selectively.SOLUTION: A nitric oxide-eliminating agent contains Hemerocallis fulva L.var. sempervirens extract as an active ingredient. The nitric oxide-eliminating agent of the application can be used as it is, or by adding to food and drinks, pharmaceuticals, or cosmetics. It is useful also as pharmaceuticals, foods, and cosmetic compositions which are useful as preventive/therapeutic agents for skin diseases, such as rough and dry skin caused by NO enhanced production and disease symptoms, such as coronary atherosclerosis, angina pectoris, heart failure, hypertension, arteriosclerosis, septic shock, liver cirrhosis, renal failure, and inflammatory disease.
