PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apheresis apparatus capable of reducing the time necessary for collecting blood components and capable of manufacturing, for example, a thick platelet product by a required unit without excess or shortage.

SOLUTION: A control section estimates the quantity of the thick platelet product which can be fractioned by one cycle based on the information obtained in advance on a blood donor and on the whole blood, selects the critical flow, the rotational frequency of a centrifugal separator and the number of cycles to satisfy a target number of platelets per cycle. When a drawing step is completed, the control section acquires the actual quantity of the treated whole blood, and controls the quantity of the treated whole blood in the following cycle based on the acquired quantity. The control section executes this control by adjusting the quantity of return blood in the return operation in each cycle to correct the error between the estimated quantity of the treated whole blood and the actual quantity of the treated whole blood.
