PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable pure nitrogen monoxide delivery system capable of treating various states of patients.SOLUTION: A method for treating a patient after cardiopulmonary resuscitation is performed to the patient includes the processes of: allowing nitrogen dioxide to pass through a system which is constituted so as to convert nitrogen dioxide into nitrogen monoxide and delivering the nitrogen monoxide of effective concentration to the patient. The system is equipped with a cartridge containing a surface-active substance such as silicagel and a reducer being an antioxidizing agent such as ascorbic acid.
