The present invention provides a systematic development of reversible multiple watermarking schemes using the credentials of patients. The use of quantized DWT coefficients and assignment of the tracking key to embed and retrieve the content makes the proposed algorithm novel in contrast to the earlier reported Quantization based approaches. The complete assessment of the proposed mechanism is provided through defining the parameters properly such that they can offer a better complementary solution for achieving improved security in HIS.
