A hypoxic training facility includes a plurality of walls defining an enclosure for housing an animal to be trained. A hypoxicator is adapted for delivering hypoxic, hyperoxic, and normoxic air to the enclosure during a hypoxic training session. An animal exercise station is located within the enclosure. A pulse oximeter monitors oxygen saturation of the animals blood during the hypoxic training session. A computing device calculates hypoxic stress delivered to the animal during the hypoxic training session.
