PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital tomographic imaging processing apparatus and method capable of forming an image without artifacts or an image with fewer artifacts and preventing an erroneous image reading and a display method of the formed image.
SOLUTION: This digital tomographic imaging processing apparatus detects X rays transmitting through a subject 20 with an FPD (Flat Panel Detector) 16 and allows an image processing section 21 to create tomographic image data based on the plurality of pieces of detected X-ray data and process the images. The image processing section 21 inversely projects the image data treated with the image processing to acquire the formed image and generates a first image. When the first image is determined as an imperfect imaging area, a system control section 11 substitutes prescribed constant values for pixel values of the imperfect imaging area of the first image and paint it out.
