PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a harvesting unit of a combine which is capable of accurately detecting the height of the harvesting unit from the ground even in an ill-drained paddy field, and having a simple structure.SOLUTION: The harvesting unit is constituted as follows. A grass-dividing frame (18) is extended from a lower gear case (17) supported by the front side of a machine frame (2) so as to be freely lifted and lowered, and a grass-dividing plate (29) in an attitude tilted upward and backward is provided in the front end part of the grass-dividing frame (18). A ground contact wheel (28c) making contact with the ground and following the ground while being swung upward and downward based on the harvesting unit (6), and a sensor (28) for detecting the upper and lower swung positions of the ground contact wheel (28c) are provided in the front part of the grass-dividing frame (18). At least a part of the ground contact wheel (28c) is protruded upward from the grass-dividing plate (29).
