PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the reliability of the measurement result of medical image data, which includes a tissue image of a subject and auxiliary information for use in diagnosis in a same image region, using luminance information.SOLUTION: This medical image diagnostic apparatus 50 consists of: a display section 62 for displaying a medical image based on the medical image data including the tissue image of the subject and the auxiliary information for use in the diagnosis in the same image region a measurement point setting means 68 for setting a measurement point on a site of interest on the tissue image displayed on the display section 62 a measurement means 64 performing the measurement for the medical diagnosis based on the luminance information in the measurement point of the medical image data and an affecting area setting means 72 for setting an area, where the auxiliary information affects the measurement caused by the position relationship between the measurement point and the auxiliary information on the display image, into a display mode different from the other regions.
