PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new drug that can contribute to improvement in various diseases caused by aggregation of GAPDH such as Alzheimers disease.SOLUTION: A peptide comprises 10 to 20 amino acids including Cys-156 that is an active center of GAPDH, and the Cys-156 is substituted with other amino acids, and has an inhibition effect on GAPDH aggregation. The peptide inhibits production of GAPDH aggregates (GAPDH-Seeds) and prevents aggregation and accumulation of amyloidβ as an initiation factor of Alzheimers disease or α-synuclein as an initiation factor of Parkinsons disease.
