The present invention relates to a system to predict the delivery of an animal by using a sensing pad and a method thereof. The present invention comprises: a sensing pad including a sensor for sensing delivery characteristics of an animal； a data storage system for storing characteristic information of the animal； a control module generating a control signal about a current delivery situation of the animal by comparing data about the delivery characteristics of the animal to the characteristic information of the animal stored in the data storage system by receiving the data about the delivery characteristics of the animal from the sensor； and a reporting module indicating the current delivery situation of the animal by receiving the control signal from the control module. As such, the present invention is capable of considerably increasing the survivability and productivity of the animal by predicting the delivery after identifying the current delivery situation of the animal on the sensing pad.본 발명은 센싱 패드를 이용한 동물의 분만 예측 및 알림 시스템과 분만 예측 및 알림 방법에 관한 것으로서, 동물의 분만특성을 감지하는 센서를 포함하는 센싱 패드와, 동물의 특성정보를 저장한 데이터 저장소와, 상기 센서로부터 동물의 현재 분만특성에 관한 데이터를 전달받아 상기 데이터 저장소에 저장된 동물의 특성정보와 비교하여 현재 동물의 분만상황에 관한 제어신호를 생성하는 제어모듈 및, 상기 제어모듈로부터 제어신호를 받아 동물의 현 분만상황을 나타내는 알림 모듈을 포함하여 구성되는 것을 특징으로 하므로, 센싱 패드 위에 올라간 임신중인 동물의 현 분만상황을 파악하여 분만을 예측할 수 있으므로 동물의 생존율과 생산성을 크게 높일 수 있다는 이점이 있다.
