The method comprises implementing a heater control loop, which control loop performs steps in one or more successive control period. The control steps comprise determining a current remaining on time for a heating element of a heater arrangement based on the current rate of change of temperature, a target temperature and a current temperature of a zone of the device arranged to heat smokable material.La présente invention concerne un procédé et un appareil de commande d'un dispositif de chauffage dans un dispositif configuré pour chauffer la substance à fumer.
