PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fishing rod supporting apparatus capable of surely holding a fishing rod and easily releasing the lock of the fishing rod with a simple operation.SOLUTION: The fishing rod supporting apparatus 10 includes a base 16 a slider 12 swing arms 14, 15 provided at the base 16 a link mechanism 13 for driving the swing arms 14, 15 torsion springs 49, 50 for energizing to turn the swing arms 14, 15 and an operating lever 17 for controlling the movement of the link mechanism 13. The slider 12 slides vertically and is displaced between a first upper side position and a second lower side position. The link mechanism 13 is interlocked with the displacement of the slider 12.
