PURPOSE: A toothpaste composition containing supercritical extract of Indigofera tinctoria and a method for manufacturing the same are provided to suppress dental cavities and to ensure strong antibacterial effect against bacteria causing periodontal diseases. CONSTITUTION: A toothpaste composition contains: 5 parts by weight of supercritical extract of Indigofera tinctoria which is prepared by extracting pulverized Indigofera tinctoria using a supercritical carbon dioxide extractor at 300 bar and 50 Deg. C. for 2 hours； 55 parts by weight of calcium carbonate as an abrasive； 2 parts by weight of sodium lauryl sulfate as a foaming agent； 30 parts by weight of propylene glycol as a wetting agent； 2 parts by weight of carboxymethyl cellulose as a binder； 0.5 parts by weight of stevioside as a sweetener； 0.5 parts by weight of sodium fluoride as an anti-cavity agent； and 5 parts by weight of butyl benzoate as a preservative.본 발명은 쪽 초임계 추출물을 유효성분으로 함유하는 치약 조성물 및 이의 제조방법에 관한 것으로, 더욱 상세하게는 쪽 초임계 추출물을 유효성분으로 함유함으로써, 쪽 열수 추출물 및 용매 추출물에 비해 충치를 억제하고 치주염균에 대한 강한 항균 활성 효과를 갖는 치약 조성물에 관한 것이다.
