The capsule medical device includes: a casing 10 having a capsule shape a plurality of batteries 141, 142 that feed power supply to various devices provided in the casing 10, each battery having a negative-electrode surface 1a and a positive-electrode surface opposing to each other, a negative electrode 1c provided on a central region of the negative-electrode surface 1a to project from the negative-electrode surface 1a and a positive electrode provided over a peripheral edge of the negative-electrode surface 1a through a side face from the positive-electrode surface 1b, the negative electrode 1c and the positive electrode being electrically insulated from each other via a separator 1d and a short-circuit prevention member 143 that is arranged among the plurality of batteries 141, 142 to secure an electrical connection among the plurality of batteries 141, 142 and to obtain insulation between the negative electrode and a portion of the positive electrode on the peripheral edge.
