A unique signal is generated according to the identification information. A unique signal is sent to the medical measurement system to assist in unlocking one or more programs running on the medical measurement system. Another aspect of the present disclosure also includes a method. The method includes detecting binding of a telediagnostic medical device with an electronic interface device. Thereafter, a unique signal is received from the electronic interface device. Based on the unique signal, the identification characteristics of the telediagnostic medical device can be confirmed.
