The present invention relates to the use of mixtures of vitamin E and polyunsaturated fatty acids (PUFAs) as agents for the prevention, control and/or treatment of conditions associated with excessive fat accumulation in the liver which is not caused by alcohol abuse. This includes prevention, control and/or treatment of non-alcoholic steatosis in the liver—known as non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD)—and/or non-alcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH) in a subject in need thereof. In particular, the present invention relates to the use of such compounds comprising vitamin E and PUFAs as active ingredients in the manufacture of medicaments for the prevention, control and/or treatment of conditions related to NAFLD.La présente invention concerne l'utilisation de mélanges de vitamine E et d'acides gras polyinsaturés (AGPI) en tant qu'agents pour la prévention, le contrôle et/ou le traitement d'états associés à l'accumulation excessive de graisse au niveau du foie non provoqués par un abus d'alcool. L'invention concerne la prévention, le contrôle et/ou le traitement, chez le patient le nécessitant, de la stéatose hépatique non alcoolique (NAFLD) et/ou de la stéato-hépatite non alcoolique (NASH). En particulier, la présente invention concerne l'utilisation de tels composés comprenant de la vitamine E et des acides gras polyinsaturés (AGPI) comme principes actifs dans la fabrication de médicaments destinés à la prévention, le contrôle et/ou le traitement de pathologies liées à NAFLD.
