The present invention provides pharmaceutical compositions comprising: (a) amodulator of hepatic parasympathetic tone, (b) at least one diabetes drug, and(c) a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier. A method for the treatment and/orprevention of insulin resistance, type 2 diabetes, impaired glucoseintolerance, and other associated disorders with the above pharmaceuticalcomposition. The invention also provides for a kit comprising thepharmaceutical composition and instructions for its use.
