The disclosure relates to 3-phenylpropionic acid derivatives carrying a branched or cyclic alkyl substituent at the 3-position, to methods for the production thereof, to the use thereof for treating and/or preventing illnesses, and to the use thereof for producing pharmaceuticals for treating and/or preventing illnesses, in particular for treating and/or preventing cardiovascular diseases. Examples of compounds of formula (I) are: Methyl 3-(4-chloro-3-{ [(2S,3R)-2-(4-chlorophenyl)-4,4,4-trifluoro-3-methylbutanoyl]amino} phenyl)-5,5-difluorohexanoate； Methyl 3-(4-chloro-3-{ [(2S,3R)-2-(4-chlorophenyl)-4,4,4-trifluoro-3-methylbutanoyl]amino} phenyl)-3-(2,2-difluorocyclopropyl)propanoate and tert-Butyl 3-(4-chloro-3-{ [(2S,3R)-2-(4-chlorophenyl)-4,4,4-trifluoro-3-methylbutanoyl]amino} phenyl)-3-(3,3-difluorocyclobutyl)propanoate.
