The invention relates to a device for vacuum treatment of wounds, consisting of a disposable canister 8 for receiving a suctioned wound exudate, and a vacuum pump 10, wherein the disposable canister is designed to enclose the vacuum pump, which is inserted into the canister, and thereby fix it against movements in the horizontal plane. The structure of the device is advantageous particularly if it is used mainly in a stationary mode and occasionally in a mobile mode when worn by patients.
