The invention relates to a hot air extraction vaporizer (1), comprising a heat exchanger (3), a filling chamber (8) for accommodating a substance generating an aerosol when subjected to heat, and a vaporizer outlet (4) for inhaling the aerosol/air mixture. The invention suggests using a heat exchanger (3) that both directly heats the filling chamber (8) and its content and is further capable of generating a hot airflow that passes through the filling chamber (8) and the substance provided therein. Consequently, starting from the first inhalation breath an immediate and continuous vaporization is provided.
