To provide a technique for making it possible that, in a photoacoustic probe in which a light projection unit is exchanged according to the wavelength of light to be projected, the light projection unit can be exchanged while in contact with a subject.SOLUTION: The photoacoustic probe comprises: a light source for generating light to be projected onto a subject； a probe body including a reception part for receiving a photoacoustic wave generated in the subject, the photoacoustic wave being generated by the subject with light from the light source projected thereonto, and a contact part for contact with the subject； and an attachment to which the probe body and the light source are attached.
