PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for treating an end face of a formed product of fibers by which falling off of soil, etc., can completely be prevented and a beautiful and uniform finish can be obtained to impart designability. SOLUTION: This method for treating the end face is to dip the end face of the formed product of the fibers in a melt of a thermoplastic resin having a melting point not higher than the melting point of the fibers constituting the formed product of the fibers, cool and solidify the melt and form a thermoplastic resin layer on the end face.
