PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ultrasonic diagnostic device which allows an operator to easily grasp the tip position of a puncture needle.SOLUTION: A selection column (setting column) for selecting a range of highlighting the tip position of a puncture needle in an ultrasonic image is provided in a puncture needle highlight setting region of a setting screen of an ultrasonic image diagnostic device. A puncture needle position detection part 205b detects the tip position of a puncture needle from the range selected by the selection column in the ultrasonic image. A highlight processing part 205d highlights the image region corresponding to the tip position of the puncture needle detected from the range selected in the ultrasonic image. A display part displays the ultrasonic image in which the tip position of the puncture needle is highlighted.【課題】操作者が穿刺針の先端位置を把握しやすい超音波診断装置を提供する。【解決手段】超音波画像診断装置の設定画面の穿刺針強調表示設定領域には、超音波画像において穿刺針の先端位置を強調表示する範囲を選択するための選択欄（設定欄）が設けられている。穿刺針位置検出部２０５ｂは、超音波画像における選択欄により選択された範囲から穿刺針の先端位置を検出し、強調処理部２０５ｄは、超音波画像における選択された範囲から検出された穿刺針の先端位置に対応する画像領域を強調する。そして、表示部は、穿刺針の先端位置が強調された超音波画像を表示する。【選択図】図４
