The present invention relates to 4-aminopyrazolo[3,4-d]pyrimidine, i.e. a compound of formula (I) for use in the treatment or prevention of primary and metastatic breast and prostate cancer. The present invention also relates to a combination of a compound of formula (I) with at least one further compound for use in the treatment or prevention of primary and metastatic breast and prostate cancer. The present invention further relates to a pharmaceutical composition comprising the compound of formula (I) or the combination.
