PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a biopsy device which enables an inner needle and an outer needle to be set readily by one hand to a state before the needles are fired.SOLUTION: The biopsy device is provided with a lever 10 which can be operated and pivoted when a user grips the lever together with a device body 2 by one hand. When the lever 10 is pivoted to the device body 2 side by the first operation, a first slide member is moved in association with the pivoting of the lever 10 so that the outer needle 1b moves in the direction opposite to the needlepoint thereof. When the lever is pivoted to the device body 2 side by the second operation after the lever is returned to the position at which the lever was located before the first operation, a second slide member is moved in association with the pivoting of the lever 10 so that the inner needle 1a moves in the direction opposite to the needlepoint thereof.
