PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a perfume composition using a new perfume having woody perfume likely to be a natural one in combination with amber perfume having warmth by readily and efficiently synthesizing a natural sesquiterpene-like structure from a widely used raw material.SOLUTION: There are provided 9-acetyl-2,6,6,8-tetramethyltricyclo[5.3.11,7.01,5]-8-undecene represented by formula (1), the perfume composition containing the compound, and the cosmetic, the product for household use and the environmental hygiene goods containing the perfume composition.
