Manzi projection. According to the World Health Organization (2014) every 10 seconds a person dies from stroke (bird), considered one of the leading cause of death in the world. One of the strategies to combat a disease is to identify people at risk to develop this condition. Panoramic radiography, one of the routine exams most requested by the dentist, is able to show calcifications in the soft tissue region of the neck, including calcified atheroma, which is a condition in which the development of the bird can be favored. However, atheroma imaging on panoramic radiography may have radiographic characteristics similar to other pathological conditions, since it is not a specific exam for the diagnosis of these atheroma. Thus, a low cost radiographic method and half of the radiation dose was developed to promote the differentiation of atheroma diagnosis, called manzi or ap manzi projection. This technique is characterized by the incidence of anteroposterior x-rays with vertical and horizontal angles at 0o, with the patient's head in a closed mouth positioned with the median sagittal plane perpendicular to the horizontal plane and the frankfurt plane should be inclined. positive vertical between 15-30o.
