PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve a camera which can capture no reflection images so that color tone of a no reflection image does not change with color tone of an actual object.SOLUTION: A video camera comprises a first light source 133A. First illumination light which is illumination light from the first light source 133A is polarized at a first polarizing plate 132A and lights up an object. When image light from the object passes the first polarizing plate 132A and a polarizing plate 135 in which a direction of the polarization is right angle with the first polarizing plate 132A, surface reflected light is cut off. Therefore, an image which an imaging device 136 captures is a no reflection image. The first illumination light consists of only light of wavelength ranges that a quenching ratio by the first polarizing plate 132A and a polarizing plate 132C is over 90%.
