PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus and a method of transfer support and a holder enabling optimally holding a subject parson to be cared to transfer.SOLUTION: The transfer support apparatus 10 includes: a movable truck section 1 an arm section 2 whose one end is movably connected to the truck section 1 and a holder section 3 whose other end is connected to the arm section 2 while abutting on a holding face of an upper body of the subject person to be cared and holding. The holding section 3 allows the holding face to move by following relative displacement to the holding section 3 of the subject person to be cared.
