The header together with the driver assistance system forms an automated header, in that a plurality of selectable harvesting-process strategies is stored in the memory and in order to implement a selected harvesting-process strategy or the selected harvesting-process strategies, the computing device autonomously determines at least one machine parameter, a header parameter and specifies this to the header.
