PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide medical equipment excellent in strength and corrosion resistance, which hardly causes a patient an allergic reaction, and hardly causes a patient to feel pain when it is inserted.SOLUTION: Medical equipment is formed of a wire 2 (or a pipe). The material of the wire 2 is titanium or a titanium alloy. Arithmetic average roughness Ra of the wire 2 measured along a radial direction is 0.20 μm or less. Preferably, the wire 2 includes a main part 8 and an oxide film 10. The main part 8 is covered entirely with the oxide film 10. The thickness T of the oxide film 10 is 0.01-0.05 μm.
