PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing absorbent articles in which indicator coating irregularity is hard to occur, and back sheets do not have defects.
SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing absorbent article includes a first step of obtaining a long back sheet by coating the indicator in a coating range of a long fluid-impermeable sheet by a contact type coater, detecting defects generated in the coating range, and generating detection signals, a second step including arranging a plurality of absorption members on the long back sheet at a predetermined interval along its length, and disposing a long top sheet on the opposite side surface of the absorption members to the surface where the long back sheet is disposed, a third step of fixing the long back sheets and the long top sheets alternately to provide a continuous member of absorbent article, a fourth step of cutting the continuous member of absorbent article between adjacent absorption members to provide defective products having defects and absorbent articles without defects, and a fifth step of eliminating the defective products based on the detection signals to sort the absorbent articles.
