Also provided is a system and method for diagnosing preeclampsia in a patient prior to the detection of conventional symptoms and/or clinical signs associated with preeclampsia. The preeclampsia detection system of the invention comprises at least one sensor and a processor comprising a preeclampsia recognizer. In certain embodiments, the system farther comprises a user interface.
